When
departing Tanzania airports an airport tax applies. An airport
tax of $30 USD applies to all international flights, and an
airport tax of 5,000 TSH applies to all domestic flights.
If the Tanzania airport tax is not included in the price of
your ticket, the airport tax must be paid in cash at the airport
before departure.
NB: Make sure to bring USD or TSH with you to the airport, as
airport exchange rates are notoriously bad
On arrival at Kilimanjaro airport we
will hold a sign board with your names then transfer
you to Moshi hotel.Your airport transfer is covered / inclusive
on the trekking price.

Where Do the Kilimanjaro Climbs Begin?
Our
climbs originate in Moshi town to Mount Kilimanjaro, located
at the base of the mountain to its south. Moshi is a short drive
from the Kilimanjaro International Airport (airport code: JRO).
If you fly into Kilimanjaro International Airport, you should
communicate your flight information to us, and we will arrange
for transport from the airport to the hotel at no extra cost.
Arrival Nairobi Airport: If your flight is in Nairobi we
will pick you from Nairobi airport to Moshi and if the flight
arrives late we arrange for you a transfer and accomodation
in Nairobi Following day you board shuttle bus to Moshi
KLM
flies to Kilimanjaro International Airport regularly.
If
flying into Nairobi, Kenya or Dar es Salaam, Tanzania. flights
are cheaper than flying into Kilimanjaro International Airport,
getting to Moshi from Nairobi requires an overnight stay in
Nairobi(If arrive Nairobi over 1300hrs so you will purchase
of a Kenyan visa and following day you board Nairobi Moshi Shuttle
bus for 6 to 8 hour bus ride with a border crossing. Getting
to Moshi from Dar es Salaam also typically requires an overnight
stay and an 8 hour bus ride.
