Climb - Umbwe Route 7 Days 6 Nights
Umbwe
route is the hardest but most magnificent and shortes way to reach Uhuru Peak.
A Less-frequented route, which is very steep and suitable only for experienced
trekkers.Additional days can be added to our programme to discover or lighten
up along the route or camp in the Karanga valley.
DAY
1: Board Riverside shuttle bus or Davanu shuttle bus from Nairobi
airport or city centre at 0800 hrs and proceed to Arusha arriving at 1300hrs.
Depart for Moshi at 1400hrs arriving at 1530hrs. Dinner and overnight at a hotel
in Moshi or (Pick up from Kilimanajaro airport and transfer to hotel in Moshi)
Day
2: After breakfast drive to Kilimanjaro National Park gate at Umbwe for starting
the climb. From here hike within the forest through a narrow ridge between Umbwe
and Lonzo rivers reachin Bivouac No. 1 (known as Forest Caves at 2850m - Camp
and overnight.
Day
3 The Path continues follwoing the ridge, then leaving the forest through
open moorlands to reach Barranco Hut at 395m. Camp oand overnight.
Day
4: This day stars off with a steep climb out of Barranco valley crossing Karanga
Valley and finally reaching Barafu Hut at 4600m. Camp overnight.
Day
5: Early morning start to reach the crater rim at Stella point, continuing
to Uhuru Peak at 589m. Decend to Mweka Camp.
Day
6:
The day is spent in descending down to the park Gates - Overnight at hotel.

7: Board shuttle bus to Nairobi or start a Tanzania safari

CLIMBING KILIMANJARO CLIMB: LEMOSHO ROUTE
10 DAYS / 9 NIGHTS
Day
1: Deaprt Nairobi by Boarding
Riverside shuttle bus or Davanu shuttle bus
at 8am either in Nairobi airport or hotel in Nairobi then drive through Namanga
border /Arusha Arriving at Moshi at 3.30 pm.Ovenight buffalo hotel bed and breakfast.
Day
2: After breakfast transfer from your hotel to National park forest edge.
From here walk through the undisturbed forest to Mti Mkubwa camp site for dinner
and overnight. By luck you will be able to see colubus monkeys and signs of elephants.
Day
3.Take your time to walk through the forest sporting some of plentiful game
and bird life. You will pass through montane forest and hagenia zone. Dinner and
overnight at Shira camp.
Day
4:. The hike today is across Shira plateau up the western slope of Kibo massif.
Overnight at Fisher campsite.
Day 5: .After breakfast hike up
LavaTower - The first introduction to the alpine zone. The only plant life being
the hardest of grasses and Lichen. Here you will be able to have a spectacular
view of final ascent route up the Western breach.
Day
6: .With the Western breach ascent route in view, spend a few hours climbing
to the base of the route where you will make a camp near Arrow Glacier. An afternoon
hike further up the route before relaxing in camp will help you acclimatize and
improve your performance the next day.
Day
7: Wind your way up the Western Breach non -technical climbing route about
six hours to the crater rim. Explore the inner crater and ash pit before to pitching
the camp at the crater floor.
Day
8. Summit day. Start your ascent to the summit early enough in the morning
to put on the Summit by 10 am. After Uhuru peak descend via Barafu Hut and on
down to Mweka Hut camp for dinner and overnight.
Day
9. It take about 3 to 4 hours to make the descent to the road head . After
your lunch bid bye to your porters and transfer to Moshi for dinner and overnight.

10.Depart for Nairobi by shuttle bus at 11am arriving at 6.30 pm .

MOUNT
KILIMANJARO CLIMBING RONGAI - ROUTE FOR 7days / 6 nights.
The
Rongai route begins its ascent of Kilimanjaro from the northeastern side of the
mountain, along the border between Tanzania and Kenya. Experienced guides consider
the Rongai route to be both easier and more scenic than the Marangu Trail. Summit
attempts begin in the pre-dawn hours, with climbers usually reaching Gillman's
Point at sunrise. For those who feel strong enough, an approximately three hour
round trip hike will take you from Gillman's Point to Uhuru Peak.
DAY
1: Boards shuttle bus from Nairobi at 0800 hrs and proceedto Namnga
Border for formalities then to Arusha arriving at 1300hrs. Depart for Moshi at
1400hrs arriving at 1530hrs. Dinner and overnight at a hotel in Moshi or (Pick
up from Kilimanajaro airport and transfer to hotel in Moshi)
DAY
2
The climb begins at the village of Nale Moru ( 1950 mts) through cultivated
land before entering the pine forest. Watch out for Kilimanjaro Colobus monkeys
in the tree tops with their white fringed 'capes' and tail. Taking 3 - 4 hours
the first camp is on the edge of the moorland zone where the forest begins to
thin out at First Cave at 8500ft/2600m. Overnight 1st Cave Camp
DAY 3
The morning walk is a steady ascent up to Second Cave at 11300ft/3450m with superb
views of Kibo and the eastern ice fields on the crater rim. Pushing on to reach
Third Cave taking 3 to 4 hours at 12800ft/3800m for overnight camp. Overnight

DAY 4
Continue ascending on the east side of Kibo
crossing the saddle between Mawenzi and Kibo taking 4 to 5 hours to reach Kibo
Hut at 15000ft/4700m. The remainder of the day is spent resting in preparation
for the final ascent which begins around midnight. Overnight Kibo Camp
DAY
5
An early start for the summit on steep heavy scree to arrive at Gilman's
Point at 18640ft/5681m in time to see the sun rise. Those who want to reach the
highest point in Africa can take the approximately three hour excursion to Uhuru
Peak 19340/5896m passing close to the spectacular glaciers and ice cliffs that
still occupy most of the summit area. The descent to Kibo is surprisingly fast
and after some refreshment, continue the descent to reach the final campsite at
Horombo at 12000ft/3700m taking 11 to 15 hours. Overnight Horombo Camp
DAY
6
A steady descent down through the moor land to Mandara Hut and then
downward through the lush forest on a good path to the National Park gate at Marangu
( 1830m) taking 5 to 7 hours to be met and transferred to your Hotel for dinner
and overnight.

7.Board shuttle bus to Nairobi or start a Tazania safari.
