15 DAYS MT. KENYA CLIMB / SAMBURU safari / MT. KILIMANJARO CLIMB

DAY 1: NAIROBI
Arrive Nairobi. The panafric Hotel Bed & Breakfast: - Upon arrival in Nairobi - safari capital of the world, you will be met and chauffeured to your hotel panafric in Nairobi to unwind and relax.
DAY 1: NARO MORU
Depart from Nairobi at 09:00hrs and proceed South towards the cool slopes of Mt. Kenya. Cross the Equator and arrive at Nanyuki Simbas / Lodge in time for Lunch. Relax and Enjoy magnificent scenery of Mt Kenya region.A COMPLIMENTARY walking tour to the EQUATOR.Ovenight at Simbas Lodge

DAY 2: MET.CAMP SITE
Early morning photo taking Mt kenya when its clear then after breakfast, Drive to the gate then walk to the Meteorological Station. This is a very good day for acclimatization, for we will be sleeping at an altitude of 10,000 ft 9 kms 3-4 hours walk

DAY 3: MACKINDER'S CAMP SITE
Hike up through the Teleki valley to Mackinders Camp where there is a spectacular view of the main peaks. Walking time approximately 4-6 hours. Overnight Mackinders Camp. (14,000 ft.) 9kms 4-5 hours walk

DAY 4: MACKINDER'S CAMP SITE
A pre- dawn attempt of point Lenana is made to ensure a successful summit bid and to try to reach the summit in time for a clear view of the majestic scenery. After climbing Pt. Lenana we return back to Mackinders camp for breakfast and then proceed down to Met Station Lodge for overnigh.9 kms 3 to 4 hours walk

DAY 5: NANYUKI
After breakfast at Met station walk down to Park Gate Overnight at Nanyuki

.DAY 6: SAMBURU Early breakfast then drive to the World famous Samburu Game Reserve (possibly see the Oryx adopting Lioness. game drive enroute arriving at Samburu Lodge in time for lunch. Evening game drive till 1830hrs when you drive back to the lodge for overnight. All meals and overnight at the Lodge. Accommodation on double room full board basis.All meals and overnight at the Samburu Serena lodge or similar.

DAY 7: SAMBURU / NAIROBI Very early game drive (06.00hrs to 08.00hrs), then drive back to the lodge for breakfast. Depart the lodge at 09.30hrs with game drive enroute back to Nairobi to arrive in the early evening. Accommodation at Panafric hotel or similar on double room sharing basis-bed and breakfast.

DAY 8: NAIROBI / MOSHI Depart Nairobi by shuttle bus at 08.00hrs. Arrives in Moshi at 15.30hrs and check into Buffalo hotel or similar for overnight. Accommodation on double room sharing basis- bed and breakfast.

DAY 9: MANDARA HUT After breakfast, vehicle transfer to Marangu park gate. Start the climb through fascinating rain forests till you reach the first hut Mandara. Meals and overnight at the hut. (9,000ft).

DAY 10:HOROMBO HUT After breakfast, follow the ascending path through the alpine - meadow. The altitude begins to change and slowdown your pace while enjoying the flora and the view of Mawenzi and Kibo peaks. Arrive at the Horombo Hut 12km from Mandara. Meals and overnight at the hut. (12,520ft).

DAY 11: KIBO HUT After breakfast, resume the climb, the landscape becomes rugged and rocky. Lobelias begin to appear. Climb to Kibo Hut. Meals and overnight at the hut. (15,520ft)

DAY 12: UHURU / HOROMBO HUT The beginning of the last ascent is made in the wee hrs of the morning while the scree is still frozen. Climb the very steep part of the route to GILMANS POINT (most difficult and tiring part). UHURU PEAK is reached within an hour's walk along the crater rim. (19,344ft). Start the walk along the craters rim. (19,344ft). Start the descent to Horombo hut for overnight.

DAY 13: HOROMBO / MOSHI Descend from Horombo hut back to the gate where you will be transferred by 4WD vehicles back to Moshi. Accommodation at the hotel-Double room sharing-bed and breakfast.

DAY 14: MOSHI / NAIROBI Pick up from the hotel at 10.30hrs and then depart Moshi at 11.00hrs for Nairobi. Arrive in Nairobi at 1830hrs. The driver will drop you at the Panafric hotel or similar for overnight. Accommodation on double room sharing basis-bed and breakfast.

DAY 15: CITY / AIRPORT After breakfast, transfer back to the airport for flight back home.
