Kenya
- Uganda - Rwanda Safari 12 Days 11 Nights
Just within a short time you will be able to traverse the wonders of Kenya,
Uganda, Rwanda and Tanzania. Start from Kenyas Nairobi city, thence to
Nakuru, and Masaai Mara for excellent game viewing. Proceed to Ugandas
Queen Elizabeth the pearl of Uganda for its abundant wildlife. From there
transfer to Rwandas Kigali city and, of course, the Volcano National Park
of Rwanda, in the Virungas, in search for mountain gorilla. A primate safari
in both Uganda and Rwanda is worth undertaking. For honeymooners this is
your chance to experience a wildlife safari in Kenya and Uganda, and a gorilla
tracking safari in Uganda and in Rwanda.
Where to go: You will visit the wonders of Kenya, Uganda
and Rwanda in a short period of time. Starting from Kenya, arrival in
Nairobi, you reach Lake Nakuru and Masaai Mara national parks for game
viewing. In Uganda, you will visit Queen Elizabeth National Park, the
pearl of Uganda for game viewing and take a boat ride along Kazinga Channel
for wildlife experience. Then proceed by road to Rwanda for gorilla safari
in Volcanoes National Park and Akagera National Park in Rwanda. The departure
is from Entebbe airport in Uganda or Kigali in Rwanda; we organize the
internal flight from Nairobi to Entebbe.
Day 1 Nairobi
Our safari guide will meet you on arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International
Airport and transfer you to your Hotel.
Day 2 The Great Rift Valley Trek
After breakfast, depart from Nairobi in the morning and drive down the
escarpment (stopping en-route to view) past Lakes Naivasha and Elementaita
to Lake Nakuru National Park on the floor of the Great Rift Valley. Arrive
in time for lunch and thereafter, enjoy an afternoon game drive in this
small game-concentrated Park returning to your lodge at dusk for dinner
and overnight.
Day 3 - Maasai Mara Wildlife Tour
After breakfast, traverse the floor of the Great Rift
Valley past the Maasai town of Narok to the legendary Maasai Mara National
Reserve to many, the jewel and highlight of the safari expedition.
After lunch at the hotel enjoy an afternoon game drive returning for dinner
and Overnight to Keecorock Lodge / Mara Serena Lodge /Mara Sopa Lodge

Day 4 Maasai Mara National Reserve
Enjoy a full days game drive in the Mara in the morning and in the afternoon
up to the evening.

Day 5 Maasai Mara Nairobi-Entebbe
After a morning breakfast embark on a game drive in the Mara and end up
driving back to Nairobi for your lunch in the city. Transfer to the airport
for your flight to Entebbe. Find our tour representative waiting to transfer
you to Serena Hotel/ Sheraton Hotel / Hotel Africana or similar other
for your dinner and an overnight on a full board basis.
Day 6 Queen Elizabeth National Park
After breakfast drive westwards to Queen Elizabeth National Park. It is
the home of the famous tree climbing lions as well as the Uganda kob,
and other antelope's species, elephants, baboons, hippos, buffaloes and
chimps and many more. Over 500 species of birds have been recorded, making
the park a magnet for bird watchers. The bird species includes the black
bee- eater, 11 types of king fisher, and several species of falcons, eagles
and the raptors and many more.
After lunch, enjoy the launch cruise on Kazinga Channel for a plethora
of bird life and a variety of mammals. In the afternoon move to the crater
lakes region for a nature walk.

Day 7 Ishasha tree climbing lions
After breakfast, undertake a morning game drive following Kasenyi track
and Queens Mile in anticipation of elephants, buffaloes, lions, kobs,
waterbuck, and if you are lucky the elusive leopard and spotted hyena.
With packed lunch, proceed to the Ishasha sector in search for the tree
climbing lions. From there traverse the Kigezi Highlands, commonly referred
to as the Switzerland of Africa. You arrive in Kabale in the evening.
Have a dinner and an overnight at Lake Bunyonyi Arcadia Cottages or similar

Day 8 Parc National des Volcans gorilla trek in Rwanda
After breakfast take a 2 hour boat ride on Lake Bunyonyi for amazing birding
and panoramic view. Later drive to Virunga Conservation area, at the foothills
of Muhavura in Rwanda. You will traverse tea gardens before accessing
the Ruhengeri town the gateway to Volcanoes National Park. Parc National
Des Volcans is the definitive location to track the rare and captivating
mountain gorilla (Gorilla gorilla beringei) in Africa. This cradle between
Uganda and Congo offers the best scenic view in Africa. There is a chain
of no less than seven volcanoes, the highest, Karisimbi, more than 4500m.
The remaining and ever increasing population of these mountain gorillas,
though their existence highly endangered, owe Dian Fossey a legacy read
the book: Gorillas in the Mist to confirm this claim.There are four habituated
gorilla families in the Virunga area presently although very there are
more two undergoing habituation process.

Day 9 Mountain Gorilla tracking in Rwanda
After a heavy breakfast and the briefing from the guides, set off for
the mountain gorilla tracking inside the rain tropical forest of Rwanda
at 8.00 am local time. You need to carry packed lunch, drinking water,
rain jacket and jungle boots while the rangers will provide you with walking
sticks. The time taken to find the gorillas varies according to the movements
of these awesome primates. An encounter with an earth shaking 350kg silver
back or a baby gorilla is very exciting and highly rewarding. After the
magic encounter with the primates, return to the lodge and proceed to
Kigali city.

Day 10 Akagera National Park
After breakfast, transfer to Akagera National Park located along the Tanzanian
border of Rwanda. This park is famous for its herds of savanna wildlife
including Burchell's Zebra, lions, elephants, topi, giraffes, impalas
and over 425 species of birds including the shoe billed stock, African
jacana, sacred ibis goliath heron. After game drives return to the hotel.
Have dinner and overnight at Akagera Safari Lodge (C) or camping site
ORPT (B) - FB
Day 11 Drive back to either to Kampala or Kigali depending
on your flight bookings back to your home country.
Have dinner and overnight at Serena Hotel (Full Board)
Day12 Departure
Reserved for departure to your home country
